Film and TV composer Mason Daring and premier vocalist Jeanie Stahl celebrate over 40 years of musical collaboration. In the 70s the Boston Globe dubbed them the darlings of the folk scene. One of their albums garnered national attention with Mason’s original song, Marblehead Morning. Mason went on to become an award-winning composer and Jeanie continued as a featured vocalist for Masterpiece Theatre and other films and as a solo recording artist.

It’s Open Mic night for anyone who sings or plays music. Sign up right away to be included on the roster for this two-hour coffee house event by calling the library at 802-325-3123. Create an ensemble or play solo, and be sure to invite your friends and family. Share what you have to offer on this night when neighbors meet neighbors in a casual and welcoming setting. We’ll provide the sound system, and the stage is yours!

John Dunlop is Principal cellist at the Vermont Symphony Orchestra and a founding member of the music ensembles TURN and the Juke Quartet, both performing works of exciting contemporary composers. He has composed and recorded award-winning film soundtracks for short films, including a documentary on childhood hunger in Vermont, applying his skills on guitar and bouzouki in addition to cello. He has worked with Phish’s Trey Anastasio on many of his solo albums.
